Mark Schaefer: A lot of the things that we used to believe it in marketing, advertising and public relations and social media a lot of that stuff doesn’t work as well as it used to.

Neal Schaffer: I got tons of traffic from Google, really because one blogger organically linked to it and that blogger had a lot more bigger… audience than I did and more Google authority. So, instead of going for quantity to go for quality.

Lee Odden: There are also humans that influence them and those humans are not just the famous people in the industry they are the person sitting in the cube or office next door. They are the people that they talk to outside of work.

Steve Rayson: The most important bit of influencer marketing is understanding your audience. Who do they respect? Who do they like? What blogs do they read? I don’t think it’s so difficult to then start thinking about, okay, these are influencers I can reach out to.
